Assassin's Creed Unity is one of the most underrated entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Despite the criticism it received over the years, I genuinely loved my time with the game. Set during the French Revolution, the story follows Arno Dorian through a journey filled with loss, revenge, and unexpected twists that kept me invested until the very end. It constantly finds ways to surprise you, making it one of the more engaging stories in the series. Paris is undoubtedly one of the game's greatest strengths. The city is beautifully recreated, packed with detail, and exploring its streets and rooftops never gets old. Combined with one of the best parkour systems in the franchise and satisfying stealth mechanics, simply moving through the world is enjoyable in its own right. The game isn't without its flaws. Even years after release, there are still occasional bugs, some of which can interfere with combat or other gameplay mechanics. It is also surprisingly demanding on the CPU, so having a capable processor makes a noticeable difference to the overall experience. Even with those technical issues, Assassin's Creed Unity remains an excellent game that deserves far more recognition than it often receives. Between its fantastic story, stunning recreation of Revolutionary Paris, and some of the best movement and stealth mechanics in the franchise, it's a game I would happily recommend to any Assassin's Creed fan. This was my friends favorite Assassins Creed. Being that it has been a little over a month since he passed away, this game has new special meaning to me.
