We play as Bayek, and sometimes we get to play as his wife, Aya. He wants to get revenge on the people responsible for his son’s death. So, as always, people misuse our protagonist’s anger to make him do their work. This sets the origin for the main AC story, and it was interesting. Altho the Templars and Assassins are not exactly described the same way as in the later games, the idea is still there. As always, I like to explore the world and get great equipment before starting the main story. It took me around 45+ hours to finish all the side stories, enemy camps, and upgrade my gear. The grind is not bad, but you must complete side quests if you want to progress through the story. Also the map and the environment is beautiful too. The main story is very short, IMO. After completing the above exploration part, it did not take much time to finish the main story. Side missions are repetitive sometimes, but I guess they are the best way to level up as soon as possible. Finding resources to upgrade equipment is not very hard either. After playing this game, I have to say that it is not as bad as some people say, and also not as good as some people say, IMO. I would give it a 7/10 because the story was not that unique or different from any other AC game.

One of the best of the AC series!

I'm trying lads, I really am. Firstly, the game is beautiful. As always the Artists within a studio are the real winners. But it very quickly (within 2 hours) becomes an extremely pretty but generic open world spam fest. I'm struggling to even motivate myself to play it. If you are easily pleased and just looking for a relaxing, repetitive game that's loosely labelled RPG, then this is perfect for you. I think I'm just going to install AC2 and not bother with this one. who knows.
