Incredible mecha game, what else is there to say.

My first introduction to the Armored Core series by FromSoft is this game. I've enjoyed learning the controls, building my ACs, and mastering the combat. I enjoyed replaying the campaign to reach the true finale of the game. There's so much to love in this game. I recommend it for anyone looking for a good mecha game.
Amazing combat, breath-taking environement art, great story.
Almost finished it once, came back a few years later just to discover this wretched, hostile planet that is Rubicon one more time. Definitely joins my top 3 Fromsoftware games. Positives (aside from the ones already mentionned) : - Decision system that impacts the story and who you'll get to fight - Arena system to experiment with new AC (mecha) parts - Game rewards pilots who will look for extra fights during a mission as well as those who go out of their way to explore each level - Music is top tier, especially on the missions that close each chapter - Voice acting is AMAZING, the quality of the dialogs are up there too ! - Combat shines in so many ways. The feel of each weapon, the diversity of AC builds (Tanks, Lightweights, Horse-Tanks...). There's no AC setup to rule them all, each will have weaknesses and strengths that you must take into account when going on a Sortie. Also, dashing at the right time to avoid a skyscraper sized laser beam feels so good. The game really doesn't hold your hand, and it's up to the pilot to adapt and grow. - The lore, story and universe were really well strung together. I haven't played the previous opus, but my attention was caught from the get go, only wanting to know more as the game progressed. Downsides : - Map exploration is quite restricted compared to other Fromsoft games - Mecha building is filled with parts to try out, switch and recolor. However each part's stats are not explained in a very digestible manner. - No players online for PvP :( Shoot me a message if you wanna duel 8.5/10 will simp for "Cinder" Carla again
