This shiii is so fire!
its fun, but if your are not a hard core gamer, and you really do not like overly annoying boss fights, this is not the game for you. it goes from overly tedious to extremely fun to tedious in an instant. it may be worth while after really spending time with it but after 20 hours and the ocean spider fight I'm done. Not worth the time. not balanced at all.
It's so peak...
omg i am gonna come this game is better then segs, you need to play this
Armored Core VI (AC6) is my introduction to the franchise, so this review is for anyone in the same boat as me. On a surface level, AC6 is not that much different from a lot of Japanese mecha games that have come beforehand. You pilot a mech and zip-zap around a map shooting lasers, machine guns, and bazookas all while receiving voiceover communication from characters that you will never see in person. Where AC6 shines, IMO, is atmosphere and gameplay. You constantly fight in a bleak, rotting world with mega-structure ruins (akin to Nier Automata). The battles are high-octane and the mechs are highly customizable, allowing for many types of builds. In fact, customizing your mech to suit the mission is the best way to play this game. The game even encourages this by allowing you to purchase and resell parts at the same price so that you can keep on trying new equipment. However, as someone who plays games primarily for the story, I have to admit that it took a while for me to warm up to this game's method of storytelling. IMO, Fromsoftware are masters at producing intricate lore and weaving it with the characters and the environment (Demon Souls, Dark Souls Bloodborne, etc.), but this game takes things a step back. The story is presented more directly in the form of chapters. Environmental story-telling is still present in this game, but a lot more sparse compared to the Souls games. Performance wise, I have not encountered any issues. I imagine this game is a day one purchase for fans of the franchise, but for those you who value stories above all else, then I recommend getting it during a sale like I did.
My god.... its so beautiful
Tiny zones with the same bland objectives. Combat isn't interesting enough to carry the absence of a world or characters.
run pretty nice but had a bug where raytracing would cause crashes (even though its only active in the menu)
The correct way to play this is with linkin park in the background with sweat dripping off ur back in 30c heat in a building that somehow doubles it
Got Stuck at around 3 or 5 hour mark with balteus. Tried every component combination that was available. I have died to balteus HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND I CANT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KILL HIM. HOURS OF MY LIFE WASTED TRYING LITERALLY EVERYTHING (other than hacking or cheating, that ruins the fun) AND HOURS LATER HE WONT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIE. Other than that, very good game. Will update with my progress with trying to kill my nemesis. EDIT #1: On hour 13.6, I have killed balteus. He had to win every single fight, I only had to win one. My victory was inevitable. He used that ANNOYING pulse shield to hide from me, it failed him. Balteus has my respect. I no longer recommend against the game. Balteus has taught me the flow of the fights, how to dodge missiles that don't break lock, getting stun locked, and dodging cannon shots from point blank with only miliseconds to react. Edits will continue as I play the game.
