Meet the Lionhearts. A smack-talking rag-tag band of rebels on an impossible quest. If they can make it through an army of psychotic robots and wall-smashing Goliaths, they just might save the world... if they don't burn it down first.

This is a fun game that does not take itself seriously. Graphically, it was ... well pretty ugly, even for 2003 standards, mostly due to low quality textures, not the models themselves. Music and voice acting were good, especially for its time. Humor is a bit weird ... on the British side, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Ran on linux with no issues, other than it showing like a picture inside picture as it did not stretch to the screen full size.
Elite ball knowledge
Way back in the day I used to rent this game for the original Xbox. Finding it again on Steam was a major surprise to me, and having loved it but never being able to finish it I jumped right back in when I got it. It still holds up well enough today, but not without some issues. The game itself is very silly: you take a jovial band of thieves to overthrow an evil tyrant and blow up everything and most everyone along the way. It rarely takes itself seriously with every cutscene loaded up with jokes and tons of chatter mid game too. The gameplay itself keeps itself fresh through different objectives in each level. However, the mouse's sensetivity is waaaaay too high for the game and there's no way to lower it enough for it to be practical at all, so you need to get used to barely moving it. The turret sections are kind of lame, and the ending is sudden and somewhat limp. In the end even with these things it's still an enjoyable romp set to a wonderful soundtrack.

The game has decent humor and occasionally fun gameplay. Unfortunately, it’s held back by major issues like poor bullet collision (enemies can kill you through walls) and some unforgiving design choices. For example, if you run out of ammo and saved before finishing a level, you may be forced to restart it entirely. Overall, completing the game feels frustrating even on normal difficulty, especially due to repetitive and often boring sections.

Ridiculous and hilarious
better than i remembered
still a great game with a great sense of humour, even after all these years!
