This was my favorite game of all time. I love the seemless open world, small scale PvP, sandbox MMORPG genre and this game fit that perfectly. I played as a glass cannon nodachi nuian/harani darkrunner. AA provided the best in genre fast paced, high mobility, high skill ceiling, tab-target combat with a dynamic 3-tree class system. PvP felt completely natural and dynamic. I loved fighting over trade packs, flagging on my own faction, pirating fishing boats and abyssal packs, PvPing in Mistsong, Freedich, Auroria, Aegis, Halcyona, etc, ganking merchant and fishing ships, fighting over world bosses like the kraken or red dragon, etc., fighting over farming zones in Hasla, pving during dynamic war time zones, war decing on other guilds, queing 1v1, 3v3 arenas/ battlegrounds/ mistsong, etc... this game was just an absolute peak gaming experience. Other things of note: gliders are amazing- turbulence over the ocean was a unique mechanic to limit usage area, sailing/pirating/exploration, naval combat with customizable ships, risk vs reward trade pack runs for gold or gilda stars, free trade, physical land ownership and housing, thunderstruck trees, creating illegal tree farms on top of mountains, battle pets with their own abilities, taming bosses, serpentis, dahuta, the library, auroria, RP duels to get into guild, unwritten no-consumes custom in arenas, pirate faction and island, enemy faction mounts you could obtain from traveling to their continent, harpooning clippers, lassoing players off their clippers, honor points, sunken treasure and underwater area, ghost ships, nodachi’s (weapons and their passives in general), unique mounts that were physical in the world- like the thunder dash, stormdarter, and carrot dash, min maxing gear, being able to kick another player's body after you killed them, using hereafter stones to create portals that anyone could use, need/greed loot rolls… I could go on. Loved this game. The labor system, family fishing, bots, conversion to daily quests, poor management, and predatory monetization practices are what ended up turning this MMO into a 'blinding light' though sadly, otherwise 10/10.

game went from B2P, to B&P2P, or you can just get it for free now and P2P from kakao..... so worthless after the merge they made this obsolete with the subscription and no difference between the paid version and free version

Mabu Rabu loves you.
The original Archeage game was the classic tale of a brand new MMO with amazing potential being ruined by P2W microtransactions by greedy developers. This version of the game was supposed to be a relaunch that promised not to feature the P2W aspects that tarnished the original, only for it to eventually become the exact same game and prey upon those who saw its true potential. (borderline scam) Its a true shame, I played the original during its buy-in beta phase and it was fantastic, one of the best PvP focused MMO's I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, there was something truly special here, but it was corrupt from within and never became the game it should have been. Will the MMO community ever catch a break and finally get a game that respects their money, time and passion? Not if XLGAMES, Kakao or Trion have anything to do with it!

🧾 Conclusion
