Rogue AI chatbot resurrects Katniss Everdeen to fight against a rival AI. Despite the many frustrating glitches, the game kept me interested until the end. Getting all the secrets fills in the backstory, but isn't terribly exciting otherwise. The ending is meh. Good for one playthru. Mine lasted almost 10 hours. Not worth more than $15.
(playing on vale index) as of this review i can not recommend this game because it simply doesn't work, launch the game and you are set on a cliff side staring out like something is supposed to be there, 5 minutes later a menu finally appears. I change some settings and hit play, screen goes black i can still see my knuckles and hear some mechanical sounds from i guess what my hands are supposed to be doing when i press buttons. Restarting my computer and checked for a driver update resulted in nothing different happening. i did contact support first to see if something is happening if they don't get back or have no clue, i will get a refund.

+ Interesting premise and story + Decent execution of the archery mechanics + Some stellar visual design and overall aesthetic. + Cheap - Combat encounters can be difficult due to the awkward nature of the shield/bow relationship, and more so when using the Teleport Locomotion setting (You basically become a stationary target with very little cover in several instances.) - Several issues with locomotion (including having to constantly switch from teleport to smooth in order to get past certain areas of some maps due to getting stuck on seemingly nothing.) - Unable to carry objects consistently in hand while doing either locomotion mode (This becomes an issue with one particular level and lack of inventory, as you just randomly drop them when teleporting.) - Some aspects of level design are not great (including finding key pieces of info needed for puzzles found in the last place I would ever think to look as well as the aforementioned 'move and carry objects' issue above.) TL;DR - Halfway decent game, but some issues in mechanics and gameplay make it awkward to play in places.
Not a bad game at all, not sure why it has a Mixed review score right now...possibly ppl reviewing it for things like hardware issues or the devs moving to Quest 2 rather than reviewing the game itself... I played it on Quest 2 thru Virtual Desktop, no issues whatsoever, some older reviews cited how hard it was to swap arrows and voted the game down for that, the devs have since steamlined that to a single press of a button. So they clearly supported this game past launch until it was very good or near perfect. Still an older, B-list or C-list tier game, but if you want an archery game with a little bit of story this game's not bad. Feels like a lot of backtracking to old areas, and things like going up and down stairs and tight cramped spaces feel pretty buggy still. But overall, good price, for a solid 5 hours of entertainment in VR.
Concept is nice, game is a lot more fleshed out than other VR games, getting stuck in the terrain, the usual fun stuff, but then they introduced the dog enemies. Now they usually aren't a problem, the AI is quite dum, but during the Cloaking device/tower defense, they just beeline and explode. And again, I wouldn't even be all that mad if they gave ANY kind of warning or ANY kind of sound whatsoever from what direction they are coming from as you can't cover 180 degrees at once IN EFFIN VR, and then there's the fact that when it resets the encounter, it resets your health, but not your inventory. Did you have bombs on you? Did you have health cans that you used to heal up from standing still, making sure you get all the damn dogs? Well too bad, those are permanently used up. I legit ragequit. I legit ragequit my first VR game after a dozen or so attempts. Add some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sounds, step sounds, anything to your damn enemies.
I love the idea of this game, I love shooting the bow. I really, really enjoy this game! ... When it works... There are just so many instances of just me getting stuck in the floor and having to use my play space mover to get out.. Not to mention since I use an HTC VIVE it doesn't always register that I am grabbing items. I literally was carrying an important item in my hand while walking on a railing over a pit... And, just my luck, the item shot out of my hand and into the void... DESTROYING MY WHOLE SAVE.... I had to restart from the very beginning... Then there are the lesser game breaking bugs, like not being able to swipe a card and put it back in my inventory in the same slot. I literally had to drop the card on the ground to place it back in the same slot, or place it in a different slot first. And the arrows OH GOD THE ARROWS, they actually just randomly switched types. I would be using my normal arrows and shoot the robots really fast and then all of a sudden I'm using up all my shock arrows... ? K... I could say that a lot of the bugs are from my mostly outdated controllers, but they work just fine for literally every other game I play. There is no reason for the game to perform as poorly as it does. So unfortunately I have to say this game isn't worth it, even when its on sale for 75% off (5 dollars) until they fix these issues. TLDR: Super buggy, literally had to restart game over an item falling off the map.
