Anomaly 1729

Anomaly 1729 is a precision puzzle platformer with equal parts puzzle solving and precision platforming. The puzzles are solved by rotating the rooms (some may say "manipulating gravity") -- sometimes rotating the room on only one axis, sometimes two axes, and sometimes all three. There is a story, but it's frustrating because you'll miss a lot of it due to the fact that you need to find pieces of a translation matrix throughout the game, and the letters you haven't found yet won't appear in the story text (so the messages will be incomplete gibberish for a large part of the game). For me, this game was equally fund and frustrating. Solving the puzzles was fun. The precision platforming required to reach the destination was frequently frustrating. Also frustrating was the fact that nothing is explained and there is absolutely no direction. Some may say "you shouldn't need a game to hold your hand", but running around for an hour trying to find the next puzzle is not my idea of fun. In the end, I'll give this a conditional recommendation. If you're good at platforming and you're good at spacial awareness, then I wholeheartedly recommend this game. If you're not, then you might want to pass on it.

Even though the metacritic reviews are bad for this game, I really enjoy it. I think the graphics are outstanding (especially for an indie game). I think this game has the best lighting I have ever seen. This game also doesn't take that much to run it. As long as you have at least a half decent card, you should be able to run this game fine. My only advice is to have a multiplayer mode. Other than that I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes puzzle and indie games.

Odd, quirky puzzle platformer with gravity and exploration as its central themes. You have a gun that shoots blue or orange bolts, which affect machines that flip rooms around in various ways. Some platforms shift with the room. Most don't. The graphics are actually decent, though I found it odd at first that the player character doesn't move its feet when you rotate the camera (as you're really rotating him, not just the camera) when standing still. However, most of the text is unreadable "glyphs." There's a subtitles option but I have yet to see any. This game isn't really my cup of tea, but hey, it's fun.

Mind twisting game in which you need to navigate through enviroment where there is no up or down. And it looks gorgeous.

There's not a whole lot I can say about this game. It has simple puzzle mechanics and a fairly cookie-cutter story. That being said, what simple things it does, it does well. The primary setting is an open room with a entrance and an escape and your goal is the reach said exit. Most of the puzzles involve hitting lever #1 to invert gravity or shooting lever #2 to rotate platforms. There's a lot of trial and error in the steps but it is honestly one of the most rewarding things to beat one of the levels in the game and continue on. Graphically the game is beautiful, although I do admit that my favorite color is blue and the game incorporates a lot of blue and purple. There's something magical and forlorn about the art style that makes me want to continue playing the game. Unknown words and strange structures have a enchanting effect on a game, although it is a style that many devs fall on. That being said if you are looking for a game that focuses more on design choices, clever puzzle placement, and not too much story than I recommend Anomaly 1729 for it's safe, but somehow unique, take on the genre.

I love this game

Any game that is literally unbeatable because of a glitch gets an automatic downvote from me I got to a part where you needed to use a jump pad to jump past 2 sets of doors except you can only get through the first door because the second one won't open and I even went and looked through someone elses playthrough to make sure I did everything correct like they did and the difference was they made it past the 2 doors no problem while my character keeps hitting his head on the second door so because the game is bugged its a no from me
