Analog - Skin off

Analog Skin Off was... okay. I wouldn't call it a bad game by any means, but I also wouldn't say it did anything particularly memorable. It's a short horror experience that can be finished fairly quickly, and while there are some interesting ideas sprinkled throughout, nothing really stood out enough to leave a lasting impression on me. The story itself was a little strange. Not necessarily confusing, just odd. By the time everything wrapped up, I wasn't quite sure what to think about it. It felt like the game had some interesting concepts, but they never fully came together in a way that really hooked me. One thing that surprised me was how much the game reminded me of a Roblox horror game. That's not necessarily a bad thing—there are some genuinely fun Roblox horror experiences out there—but when I sit down to play an indie horror game, I usually expect something a little different. The overall feel just wasn't what I typically look for in the genre. As for the horror itself, it never really managed to get under my skin. It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't particularly scary or memorable compared to some of the other indie horror titles I've played recently. Overall, Analog Skin Off falls firmly into the "meh" category for me. I didn't hate it, and I don't regret playing it, but it's not a game I'll be thinking about a week from now. If you're brand new to horror games and looking for something lighter to dip your toes into the genre, you may find some enjoyment here. For horror veterans looking for memorable scares or a standout story, there are probably better options available.
