It took me about 1 hour to complete the game and this is with some backtracking and reloading of areas. The story is unclear and the voice acting is terrible. The ending is probably the biggest let down as it makes no sense. I found one almost game breaking bug in chapter 3 where you try to outrun the area collapsing. I got stuck at the end of the tunnel and died dozens of time before I finally got through that area. I have no idea what finally worked. I just kept trying until I succeeded. I'm not fond of the "hunt for batteries" aspect of horror games. I tend to just run and miss the exploration as I get nervous trying to find the next battery. I wanted to enjoy the environment more as this is the best aspect of the game. The graphics and ambient sounds are quite good. But the fairly constant need to find batteries disrupts this a little bit too much. Since I believe this game is totally free right now, I can understand the need to pick it up and play. Go for it. You might enjoy the experience. Parts of it are fun. But the muddled storyline, bad voice acting, short gameplay, clunky controls (I used an Xbox controller) and buggy areas make it no-go. I doubt the developer will ever come back and update the game which is too bad. A round of polish and update would slide this into a good playable game. Played using a Quest 3 with Airlink.
Although the voice acting is mediocre, Amigdala has a promising start, but absolutely lost me at the end. Story lost its credibility and its consistance. That may be because the creator of this game is italian and english isn't their mother language so some parts of the story may be lost in translation. Most of the Enviroment is generic and aside from the hospital you can get easily lost. Considering it is a one-man-projekt in Unreal 4 its a solid game. I have seen worse, but far better too. Chapter 3 is still bugged till this day: When the complex starts falling apart you can get stuck in a wide vault-door-tunnel, because the scripted timing of rubble and or something invisible blocking your way falling down makes proceeding impossible and your character will die.
