Ambition is a 2D strategy RPG game that explores a village with teleporters to dangerous dungeons. In this strange and quirky world, battle bosses like a one-eyed turtle with a fancy tophat, a giant centipede that lurks quietly in the desert, and many more!

no content, buggy.

Ambition is a free to play RPG game, you play as a unnamed hero, fighting different monsters in different biomes, exciting, right? it would be if it had more content, and if it would be less buggy. so, from easy to hard, you have the forest, posion, desert, and magma biomes. there isn't a lot of difference between these biomes beside looks and levels, mostly just recolors of the same enemy, and different boss sprites for each biome boss. the game doesn't have any tutorial, there is no information which biome is supposed to be easy, and which one is supposed to be hard. enemies will sometimes spawn in walls, and.transitioning between levels in biomes will sometimes cause you to spawn inside enemies. you will mostly be fighting slimes, as these aren't much of a problem to beat, but when you beat bosses, the game will always teleport you back to town. most NPC's have the same dialogue, when entering your inventory, the music will break, music does not loop and will always reset upon transitioning to a next level, items that are aquired by defeating monsters are not useable, there doesn't seem to be any skills, combat is boring and simple, with no real decision making, only to choose between fleeing the battle, or using basic attacks, and the desert boss will actually softlock your game, forcing you to manually close the game, and start over. overal, the game is lacking in content, has bugs, the game has potentional with some polishing here and there, but in it's current state, I would not reccomend playing this game
Dommage. Amicalement Le pasteur

Not complete enough to even be an Alpha release. You start in the village, walk to a transport, transport to a dungeon, get killed in your first fight and start the game over. The video shows a bunch of items, there are none. You have absolutely nothing and no way to get anything. No weapons, armor, spells, potions, books, nothing. The houses you see you can't get into. The people have a few lines of dialog but you can't interact with them. You get into a dungeon and there's no way out or back to the village. The village is a set map but the dungeons are a completely random map. The only controls are WASD, E for inventory and left shift, ctrl and alt are supposed to fire something, but you have nothing to fire and it wouldn't make sense because the fighting is done on another screen when you run into a monster. No way to save or load the game, you get no progress anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. The game is an astounding 750Mb for something this incomplete. The very definition of bloatware. And last there's no way to turn off the music other than to go to inventory when you get to a new area.
I won't recommend it for now, but you have cool ideas and I really think this game will be good once done. For real, it's like an alpha version, so there's a lot of incomplete and buggy things. The visuals are nice but the gameplay is lacking a lot of stuff (but as I said, it's in alpha, so that's expected) and I think there should be a history. We can only trust the devs.
