Reviews
Given the game is new, but lacks elementary description functions. Below are a few which may need some attention. 1. Appears the research dollars are not tied in anyway to the research projects. Have no clue when the investment will pay off. 2. What does the "thumbs up" mean and how to regulate it? 3. How to regulate getting a loan? 4. How to see customer supply and demand in each port? 5. What is the "light bulb"? and more so how to increase it? Each time I try to do a positive concept for the company, I end up taking a loan and file for bankruptcy.
You might be scratching your head around what "Air Fleet" actually is, and I can tell you two things for sure. It's supposed to be a minimalist, shovelware tier airline tycoon game, and also, it's broken. The tutorial doesn't make much sense, but when I started to play it's not hard to work out how to define an airline route. Then you need to assign a plane to that... so you kick off research to research a plane to buy. This takes a really long time. So then you can buy the plane, right? Wrong. You don't get given enough starting cash to afford to both research and buy a plane. The end. Literally unplayable because the developer didn't bother with basic testing. In fact, the entire game looks and feels like it was vibe coded. It's that bad. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. Those technical flaws drag this game well below the minimum quality standards expected of a modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this game? Is it among the best the Steam catalogue has to offer? Air Fleet is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product. The quality problems and defects with this game makes the asking price totally unrealistic. It's impossible to recommend this to gamers here on Steam. Finally, I'm here to try help save gamers time and money by filtering out the noise and substandard games... there's up to 50 games launched on Steam Direct every day! They aren't all great... most of them suck. If you don't agree with my assessment of the defects in this game, go ahead and buy it... maybe you'll find the same defects I did, maybe not. Even write your own review. Positive or negative, game reviews are here to help other gamers by informing their decisions on what to buy and play.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Очень вторичная и неинтересная игра
Bought this game as I like these types of games... bad mistake! Of all the games of this type I've bought, this is down the bottom of the pile. Why? Well, it's not had proper QA. It feels like the game hasn't been tested for playability. To be honest, without knowing much about the development process, this game feels like someone typed into an AI generator "Create me a Unity Game similar to Puffin Planes..." then rattled off a list of requirements, and this was the result. A starting block, but not a final polished game. First off, the tutorial. This transpires to be screens and screens of text. After the first couple of screens of text, I was just glazing over the content, not absorbing it. When the text finally finished, and I was onto the map, I was like "Uh, okay, it said something about pressing a button here, but what was it I had to memorise?". Back into the tutorial screens, oh, it was B I needed. Through every other page of the tutorial again, back to map. Pressed B, finally worked out how to built my route. Great. Now, put down a plane. Plane icon says You have no planes. What was this now? No icons to buy anything. Was it more keyboard stuff to memorise? Back to the tutorial. First page, already done. Page 2. Ok, key V to buy. Flip through every other page of the tutorial, back to the map. Press V, and I get the same message as clicking the Airplane symbol, You have no planes. Did I read right? Back into the tutorial pages for the third time, skip the first page, second page "There are planes attached to each route: Open the inventory (key "v") or via the bottom bar". Ok, read that right, click through all tutorial pages again, back to the map, Press V. Still nothing. At this point, almost ready to throw in the towel, I clicked through everything, clicking on the city with "Econom" where "First class" takes more space and is in full, so why abbreviate Economy? With finance screen showing an awkwardly labelled "Researches: -20k. $" with that money cranking around fast, and I'm wondering why I'm already researching before I've got my first plane off the ground. Bit silly that. Into the Research Screen, and then it hits me. You Buy a plane in the Research screen? Like, what? Most disjointed way to buy a plane I've seen in a game. But okay, let's click buy a plane. Clicking buy, nothing happens. Clicking the icon, nothing happens. Back to the map, no plane to be seen. I thought I had nailed it, but I hadn't. Pondering what I was doing wrong, and I noted the money was now a negative value. Could that be it? Let's abandon my first game, and try a second. But no button to get back to the menu. Don't tell me, another keyboard key? I try Esc, that seems to be the preferred method, and yes, a menu appears. Another awkwardly labelled button, this time "To menu" and I'm back into the main menu. My second game. Money dropping fast. Into Research, nothing I can do to stem the fiscal irresponsibility of researching what I don't need to research. I click the Buy button, it turns black, did it work? Back into the main screen, and toggling the plane button does indeed show 1 plane. Eureka. And my money has stopped ebbing away! Double Eureka. Now back to building that route, and putting the plane onto it. No indication on what next, I leave it run for a couple minutes. Instructions said "1" and "2" keys to increase/decrease the pace and pause the game, but pausing the game was Space. In the tutorial, when the text went beyond the edge, using the scroll wheel would move both the text box AND the main map behind. And now my money's eating away again. Can't be losing that much with that single plane, can I? Then a bankruptcy warning. Did I lose that much? Ok, press the Loan button, back to the map, and without warning a new city joins the map. Ok, now I can create a new route, using what I've now learned. Click the plane, click the route, nothing happens. Bit more faffing, and I realise I have to click below the route, not on the route. Too close to the city, and it goes onto the city. Then "You're bankrupt". At that point, I ponder life's choices, let's go out of the game... and I realise the game triggered my SteamVR system. Eh? This isn't a SteamVR game, why would it want to enable that? In the end, lesson learnt, don't buy a game without trying a demo first!
Лучшая игра на моей памяти, я буквально улетел с нее далеко-далеко на воздушном флоте и кринже от этого отзыва
