Очень хорошо, что есть такие программы для студентов, которые могут делать свои игры!
Overview:
'Ahlman Mansion 2020' is a interactive gallery showcasing different types of work made by students of "Ahlman Institute". The pieces of work you see in the game are all created by students studying art, music, literature and game design. The actual collection as a whole isn't amazing but going into this title, I understood the level to which these people were at when making these projects. Not to say they aren't any good but compared to people with actual careers in these fields, the games you'll play, writings you'll read and art you'll see aren't great. I personally didn't mind the whole showcase from a general sense but I definitely have more than a couple of gripes with the gallery, specifically the games. That being said, there's a book at the beginning of the game that literally states that most games were left unfinished and/or unpolished due to lack of work power and overall time. Everything you see was created within a 10 month time period and the mansion itself in an 8 week period, so a significant amount of leeway can be given regarding the quality of 'Ahlman Mansion 2020'. Despite this, I commend everyone that participated and/or contributed to this gallery and can definitely say it's something people should experience even if it's not the best thing in the world.
Gameplay:
I actually didn't find the showcase to be disappointing as there's quite a bit to see. You're thrown into a mansion with a multitude of different pieces ranging from artwork, 3D models, writings and games while a looping soundtrack (most likely also composed by students) plays in the background. On one end, there are writings that were a bit interesting but didn't hold my attention for long. Many have hidden meanings, are hard to read or are just kind of strange in context. There's also artwork that's kind of strange and looks like the kind of abstract art you'd see in a typical art gallery. Nothing special but if you're an art student who knows, maybe there's some inspiration there somewhere. Then comes the part that everybody most likely downloaded this game for: the games! Now take it with a grain of salt when diving into this collection as many of them feel like flash games or demos created by students just going into game design. Most if not all are pretty bad but again, this was created in a short period of time by students. There are a whopping 30 games in the collection which honestly caught me by surprise but I'll break down what each of them are. 1.'Asteroid XL deluxe: Mortal Fusion 2 electric boogaloo' Crazy title with simple as water gameplay. Fly around in first person mode while shooting ships and avoiding projectiles and asteroids. Somewhat disorienting and after a minute or so all the ships either blow up or disappear leaving you in limbo. 2.'Assault of the Very Bad Robots' Endless but easy tower defense game. After you get enough weapons, it's impossible to lose. 3.'Attention Seeker' Horror game where you sort colored squares with somewhat unresponsive controls while a creepy figure closes in on you from behind. Very freaky at first but no jumpscares are here. You'll almost always end up screaming cause the figure got too close but if you sort the squares perfectly, you'll win. 4.'Crystal Cave' Explore a cave in first person mode gathering resources from a checklist. 5.'Delta Nova' First person horror game where you try to escape a spaceship while a really slow infected human chases you. 6.'The Diamond Collector' First person game where you collect 20 diamonds scattered across 4 islands. 7.'Donnie & Pat - The Ultimate Hangover' Requires a controller to play, Help navigate two characters from start to finish simultaneously. 8.'Dream Biker' 2D side scrolling bike game where you try to get from "A" to "B" without wiping out. Think of a dollar store version of the 'Trials' games. 9.'Exploding Cats' Endless game where you catch kittens in a box before they hit the floor. Miss 6 and you lose. 10.'Fish Outta Water' Top down game where you have to keep your wetness and hunger level above 0 by eating bugs and going into the water while avoiding a big fish. 11.'Fox Match 3' Endless match 3 game. 12.'Glitch' Super confusing and nauseating first person game taking place in a lab containing rifts between two worlds. Couldn't bring myself to finish it. 13.'Gloom Grove' Finicky first person platforming game where you jump between branches of trees while avoiding nothing despite the game saying there is something. 14.'The Grape Escape' Third person platforming game with some of the worst controls I've ever experienced in my life. Extremely hard but I somehow escaped. 15.'Hop Hop Robot' Top down game where you explore a wasteland and collect parts to build yourself a friend. 16.'The Hunter becomes the hunted' Endless 2D runner where you're being chased by a bear that'll eventually catch up to you. 17.'The Keeper of the Light' First person stealth game where you manoeuvre through an island with a lighthouse collecting rubber ducks while avoiding the lighthouse beam that for some reason shines through everything making it hard to know if you got caught or not. 18.'The Lost Boy' 2D side scroller with odd bird mechanic where you control the boy with the keyboard and birds with the mouse. You can basically use the birds to make the boy fly to the end of the game bypassing the entire level. 19.'Lost in the Forest' 2D runner where you run from left to right while avoiding ghosts and other hazards til you reach home. 20.'Tomb of the Jungle Queen' 2D platformer with a very fun grapple feature. Basically swing from side to side like Spiderman or Indianna Jones. 21.'Octodive' 2D game where you traverse a maze in search of a big pearl. 22.'Outer World Attackers' Wonky survival game where you're defending yourself infinitely from incoming aliens and spaceships. 23.'SNEK' Requires controller to play. Didn't get to find out what it's about. 24.'Kupperikarhu' Endless 2D runner where you collect food while throwing projectiles at hostiles. 25.'Space Demise' Endless space shoot'em up very similar to the popular Atari' game 'Asteroids' 26.'Spell Plague' First person horror game where you explore a small village after an outbreak occurred. Unfinished and leaves the player in limbo. 27.'Super Dash' Incredibly hard 2D dashing game where you can only avoid hazards by dash through them. Couldn't beat the second level. 28.'The Cartographer' First person walking simulator where you explore an island in order to create a map for it. 29.'U.F.O Defender' Defend a city from falling U.F.O.'s. After destroying them all the, nothing happens, you're stuck in limbo until you quit. 30.'Velvet Loop' 2.5D platformer where you get to the top of a tower by jumping on platforms and swinging from bars. Overall, these should just be seen as a collection of homework assignments students got and shouldn't be taken as full, complete games.
Controls:
Differs from game to game but most play poorly and have awful controls.
Graphics:
Also dependent on game, honestly most look pretty bad including the mansion but for the effort: definite A+.
Audio:
I actually like the music in the mansion. The games however are below par. Definitely the kind of thing you'd here in flash games.
Conclusion/TL;DR:
'Ahlman Mansion 2020' is a collection of projects from students at Ahlman Institute ranging from games, writings and art. The quality of the pieces you'll encounter aren't great but this title is more of a showcase presenting what kind of things students at this facility were able to create. You won't see greatness here, but hopefully, you'll see potential.

It's been a while since I played this game. However, it was a very beautiful, artsy, unique immersive "game" (rather experience imo). I was astonished when I read this was created by students,
