I'll start by saying that this is not the typical genre of game I tend toward. You'll normally find me seeking ways to automate and optimize systems in a space sandbox game. That being said, now note that I've logged over 100 hrs in Against the Storm... AtS has absolutely *nailed* the balance between complex logistics management and simple mechanics. It also keeps every game fresh by introducing an innumerable set of perks/nerfs that force you to constantly change your basic strategy, without feeling burdensome. I can't quite explain why, but I keep coming back to AtS in between bouts with Satisfactory, No Man's Sky, and the like. There's a good chance it'll suck you in too.
Played during a free weekend and already racked up 20+ hrs. Bought the game right after that.

Glad I was able to try this out but oh lord did it feel way too much micromanagy. Maybe that's who it's for. The graphics were nice but just was overwhelmed by the amount of upgrades to get upgrades to turn into other junk. To be honest it felt like playing a microtransaction game, but...you own it. Anyways for me 3/10.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this yet. A truly excellent city-builder. Well worth its cost and still being improved upon by the developers.
A thinking mans game. A bit like a deck builder within a city builder, Very addictive. Games last may be 1-3 hours depending on your speed, but you'll want to play 2-4 maps and suddenly 8 hours later...
