I watched 20 min of this 360 degree film like experience and you literally sit or stand inactive and are forced to watch some family members played by amateurish acting individuals enacting a female soap opera about a lost child. This is neither interactive nor VR or 3D, this is a silly excuse for not making a movie on the 2D screen!

Afterlife von Signal Space Lab ist ein 360° Film. In dem kurzen interaktiven Film in drei Akten, wird ein Familiendrama gezeigt. Der Zuschauer kann sich frei in der Szene umsehen und die Schauspieler beobachten. Interaktionen bzw. andere Erzählwege können sich ergeben, wenn der Zuschauer in bestimmten Szenen den Blick auf einen bestimmten Schauspieler fokussiert, so die Erläuterung im Menü. Ich weiß nicht, ob mir das erfolgreich gelungen ist. Es gibt leider keinen Hinweis darauf. Andere Interaktionen im Film werden durch einen Ton und bunte Partikel angezeigt. Der Zuschauer kann dann mit einem eingeblendeten Laserstrahl darauf zeigen und mit einem Druck auf die Triggertaste das Geschehen weiter laufen lassen. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1906268112 Zwischen den drei Kapiteln, kann der Zuschauer, wenn er möchte seinen gewählten Weg angezeigt bekommen. Leider kann man von hier nicht in die Szenen springen und die Alternativen auswählen. So ist man letztendlich gezwungen den Film mehrmals zu schauen, um wirklich alle Wendungen gesehen zu haben. Die Interaktionsmöglichkeiten könnten allerdings deutlicher hervorgehoben werden, sodass der Zuschauer auch merkt, dass er jetzt die Möglichkeit dazu hat. Wer auf mysteriöse Familiendramen steht, wird hier bestimmt Gefallen finden, der Film läuft auf Englisch und Französisch. Stellt man die Untertitel ein, wird der Film angeblich 2D. Rather slow and boring narrative. The only positive is the visual. has a real life feeling but just to darn boring

[h1]Experienced on the Meta Quest 2[/h1] This is an approximately 40 minute 360 purely cinematic movie experience. There are some interactions that consist of staring in a particular direction and / or pressing trigger to begin an event sequence. Your gaze will effect which scenes you see in the 360 movie. The 3D here is not the best quality, however, since it is not streaming, it is better than most Steam VR experiences. I did think some of the scenes were too blurry & not clear enough, as well as there was some distortion in some of the scenes & sometimes a fish eye effect in some areas. I think the actors did a good job given what they were working with. 360 cinema direction is very difficult. There is just a camera plopped in the middle of the scene while actors come in and out of the scene. The audience can be looking anywhere during this time. This makes acting very difficult. Unlike some of the negative reviews, I think the actors did good given these daunting circumstances. I think it was the direction that could have been tighter. I did enjoy the story, but you do have to pay close attention to get all the details. It is a story about a family who had a child pass away in a bath tub accident that is never fully described. The ghost of the past effects each of the family members in different ways. This movie is definitely not for those who prefer the Marvel metaverse. I personally dislike almost every super hero movie or show, except The Boys, Watchmen, or Guardians of the Galaxy. This is a slow-paced drama with an emotional narrative. It is about grief, depression, & the supernatural or the psychological effects on the mind battling grief. I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys experimental or avant-garde cinema. Good quality video. Good acting. Good story No hints for interaction... But even if it makes sens to be like that I think this "hurts" the game.

More of a Story Than an interactive Demo. to be honest it wasn't worth the money & i've seen similar story lines time & time again..

A really cool concept. Feels like my eyes are a bit crossed at times with a Quest 2. However I watched and chose 2 completely different paths which took almost 2 hours and do not have any headache or motion sickness. Eyes feel a bit weird but focus returning to normal. I wasn't too impressed with the story or acting at first but as I got into it and saw my path being laid out in each chapter it became more engaging. Looking forward to getting the last ending I haven't watched yet. I grabbed it on sale and worth every penny.

This game is not very fun. I mean it's an OKAY Game. but if you really want an AFTERLIFE FEEL get the game called AFTERLIFE VR more fun and very very Scary. if you like ABANDONED Mental Hospital's then AFTERLIFE VR is for you :)
