About
Abyssal Shade is a deck building roguelike where you dive into a dungeon of the mind. Receive the blessings of your emotions and wield them to destroy the Shades that reside within! This game takes place in the void that consists of layers. Each layer has a long deck building roguelike section where you expand and use your deck from the previous floors to defeat your opponents. In between these card game segments there are a variety of top-down rpg puzzles that grant you rewards as you delve deeper into the layers. The battles consist of turn based combat where you play cards from your deck to summon allies and attack your enemy while defending yourself from damage.
The game is on the shorter end last likely about 2 hours but is easily replayable with the chance to encounter new cards and develop new strategies.

Quite short, but very fun. The last two bosses are very difficult, so watch out. No jumpscares, but it does have a spooky atmosphere, The music is terrible, just turn it off.
This game is really fun. You create some shades, you put some fear into them and let them do the rest. The side puzzles outside of each run are also enjoyable to work through. I'd like to be able to pick one of three cards instead of a random one when removing from the deck but that is a small complaint. Great game even without translation.

Neat concept, didn't realize until after the first boss that moving a card to the right threw it away. The colors could have used an in explanation, no clue what anything but red did. At first the health damage was bit tricky to figure out, maybe some kinda of tool tip when hovering over the card might have helped there. No crashes, neat gamplay.
Interesting concept. It's a lot like "Slay the Spire" with it's own interesting twist. I was a little confused on how to play the game. But overall, it seems like a good game.
Fun game, reminds me of slay the spire kinda
Pretty good game! I did softlock a couple of times, but it was a fun passion-project-style game! 6/10, good to spend a couple hours on.
High potential game if more cards were their. The concept is really cool! I can't beat the last boss though, is it even possible ^^' ? Might be some explainations to understand how the game works as it is not easy to take the hang of it. Some rooms are also useless, as you can just go straight to the boss. The game just lacks clarity in many aspect of the game. Also just an idea : make some cards the emotion they affect on ? For exemple, 'RIOT' add 1 atk to every anger shade. Maybe put a word in red or the card directly in red so we understand better and quicker the info. Some bugs can also be seen along the way, but nothing too crazy.
