About

You're just an ordinary person... or so you thought. For your entire life, you've been narrowly avoiding death by pure luck... or is it something more? When a strange program suddenly appears on your computer, and someone claiming to be the Grim Reaper says he's come for your soul, your life as you know it is thrown upside down.
As you delve deeper into the mysterious man that calls himself the Grim Reaper, you begin to wonder if fate brought you two together for a reason. Can you resist his charm, or will you fall for the one destined to take your soul?

A Date with Death is a supernatural romance chat simulator visual novel about the week long bet you enter against the Grim Reaper to attempt to keep your soul. Create your own character, from appearance to pronouns, decorate your apartment, and spend the (possible) last week of your life getting to know the one hunting for your soul.

💀 Make Your Character: Build your own protagonist, from their physical appearance to their pronouns and name. Update them throughout the game!
💀 Design Your Apartment: Decorate your apartment to your liking and create a cozy space that you'll love coming back to.
💀 Pet Your Furry (or scaley?) Companion: Yes, you can pet the dog. Snuggle up with your furry friend in-between chats.
💀 Choices That Matter: Make decisions that will affect your character's fate and lead you to one of multiple possible endings. What kind of relationship will you have with the Grim Reaper?
💀 Beautiful Art of the Babygirl Grim Reaper: Fill up your gallery throughout your playthrough with beautiful CGs, backgrounds, sketches, and more!

SUCH a good game, really replayable and addictive, the main character is such a cutie !! so unique
This is amazing. It is a miracle to find a dating sim where I like the voices of both the romance and the protagonist, especially the latter. It's so nice not feel like the self-insert is completely stupid and constantly demeaned. Instead the voice feels very confident and fun. I am not the most familiar with "babygirls" but damn did I fall in love with this guy. I was real life squealing at how adorable he is. I didn't really read the premise before going in so I love the surprise in having such a fun personality that bounces off the protag's perfectly. Also, THERE'S VOICE ACTING? IN MY FREE GAME?? I love the performance, it defiantly heightens the writing further. And I'm saying this as a guy who doesn't care voice acting being present in my games. So to have it in a visual novel is already a treat. Great props to the VA! Love it art. Not much to point out besides I totally made two CGs into my desktop wallpapers. One more point: love the variety in the avatar maker. It's really easy to make some lovely and diverse characters. I played this without either of the DLCs and it was beyond worth my time. I hope to buy the extras someday to both get to experiance more, and to support the devs.

first time marrying a grim reaper kinda nervous
Mixed feelings. Its free, so I dont regret my time with it, but ngl by the end I was so bored and honestly getting pretty annoyed at the characters.

This is a really lovely game and I am so happy it was for free! I really love the game and it's very enjoyable. What bothers me is the skipping mechanics...I don't like them at all and in the end, I had to spend more time in the game just to get an extra CG...This is my only issue. Very good and lovely game! I can't wait for more!
Good game, very nice art, very nice writing, very nice Grim Reaper. Chef's kiss ( ˶˘ ³˘) ♡`
