The game looks fantastic, smoothly, and the sound design is absolutely top-notch. While there are some great jump scares throughout, the real strength of the game is its relentless atmosphere. The tension never really lets up, and the audio constantly keeps you on edge. The unique concept of having different creators work on each section makes the experience even more engaging. You never know where the game is going next, which adds a level of unpredictability that keeps the horror fresh and intense from start to finish. My only minor criticism is that there isn't a particularly strong overarching story. Some players may find that disappointing. Personally, I didn't mind it at all. I think the fragmented approach actually works in the game's favor. The constantly shifting, liminal environments and ever-changing rooms create a dreamlike sense of unease, and trying to tie every area together with a traditional narrative might have weakened what makes the experience so effective. In this genre, the disconnected nature of each segment feels like a strength rather than a weakness. Overall, I had a great time with 771. While I'm not usually a fan of longer games, I would have happily spent more time with this one.
