I’ve played this game for a few hours and I really love it. However, today I had a really frustrating experience: thanks to an update patch, I lost a world with over 70 hours of playtime due to a bug that incompetent developers can't seem to fix. Seeing how common this issue is online, how can they justify having a game with such a massive flaw? I went to their official Discord server looking for help, and one of the moderators muted me just for asking, seriously?! Is this how they treat the players of their game?
Game is getting worse and worse. TFP just keep making terrible decisions and will not listen to the playerbase at all. Look for a different survival game. It will very likely just get worse. #JusticeForJawoodle
2,550 hours. Won't play a single hour more. Support a developer that can stick to a plan. How many times do you change the core mechanics of the game before its fraud? I thought the game was great for a couple updates, then it turned to complete trash, now the game is $45 bucks. There are many games on Steam that have a way better development team who actually care about the community.

For Jawoodle!
Good foundation. Terrible development The weather , theres got to be a better way (Take Fallout radiation for example) The Biomes - There is no substantial benefit to going to other biomes. The skills, theres got to be a better way (seriously you had better skills before) The magazines/books - Lord almighty, theres got to be a better way! The combat - Its aight The models - Its getting there The sound design - it exists The DLC- they shouldnt exist The farming - Theres alot of it on default settings The Pathfinding - Zombie be very dumb. and yet if you dont use your brain they can be brutal. There is no in between The quests - montone, I wish there was more voiceacting telling me why im doing these things. I wish the NPC told me "I have this to do" instead of picking the one I like everytime. The economy - I only play singleplayer or friend only. So the traders just seem like they price gouge anything worth buying. other - Why cant I use working ovens/cars/coffee machines/etc I have many complaints. I have to wonder what all the development time went to. I have to wonder, is this game worth 57.99CDN$ And I think its more of a 39.99 game personally. It has some fun to it, but it also clearly isnt finished. the wonky jumping in particular is my favorite example. SO little has changed in all these years, but also everything has been made more "wider appeal". It kinda makes the overall bland. Grow food and sell it to buy what you are missing. Trust me. There still is a good time for those who want minecraft but for adults.
Great concept. Was fun at one time. Now it's falling victim to the typical dev strat of throwing gimmicks at the game until it dies. Some 1600 hours in, I still can remember the first time I played, trying to hide in some random, burned out house that was near my spawn. It was so dark. It was intense. It was scary. It's none of that any more. It's bright at night, neon zombies, changes to core mechanics, otherwise weird and pointless mechanics. Oh and grossly overpriced today. The one thing they did right recently is to add ways to turn a lot of the garbage off. Except I still can't figure out how to get rid of the lame rancher and boulder throwing guy. And now sold to a larger company? Yeah that always works out great for games...
You can pour dozens and dozens of hours into a world and have it irreparably crash and never load again. Game does not automatically make backups at any point. Naturally, you would not make backups constantly when everything is working fine. Extreme caution is advised.
Devs hate their community so much they ignore what their players want. If you like grinding out books for your skills and not by actions themselves really brings down the game. RIP my favorite game of all time.
Played the game since alpha. Loved watching the progress and never minded how long it took. To see the fall to casual slop is very depressing. Fun Pimps please reconsider your choices and do better.
