I enjoyed this game. It's relaxing, the cats are easy to find, but some of the locations were tricky for me. Overall, I recommend this game. The gameplay time for me to find all the cats was around 30 minutes.
"101 Cats Hidden in Greece" war ganz ok. Für alle Achievements braucht man ca. 10 Minuten.
101 Cats Hidden in Greece is a gentle, comforting hidden-object experience that embraces simplicity and charm as its guiding principles. Rather than attempting to build a large puzzle adventure or a multi-scene structure, it focuses all its energy on a single, hand-drawn depiction of a Greek landscape filled with visual details and 101 cleverly tucked-away cats. This minimalistic approach gives the game a very focused identity: it isn’t trying to be a puzzle epic or a complex object-finding challenge, but instead a soothing, self-contained visual treasure hunt. From the moment the game opens, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, capturing the sunlit serenity and coastal textures often associated with Greece, wrapped in a cozy, art-driven aesthetic that invites slow, careful exploration. The artwork is the centerpiece of the experience. The illustration is lively without being overwhelming, striking a balance between clean readability and playful detail so that players always have something to examine without feeling lost in clutter. Each cat blends into the environment in a way that encourages curiosity — some are blatantly visible, others blend into architectural details, shadows, or decorative elements. The combination of hand-drawn forms, gently exaggerated shapes, and a soft, cartoony style reinforces the game’s calming tone. There’s no pressure, no timers, and no penalties, only the quiet pleasure of spotting a hidden feline in an unexpected nook. This makes the game especially suitable for players who want a relaxing experience that offers gentle engagement rather than challenge or intensity. While simple in structure, the game benefits from a rhythm that many hidden-object enthusiasts appreciate. Slowly scanning the scene, zooming in on areas where a hint of color seems out of place, and piecing together a mental map of where you’ve already looked becomes its own form of meditative play. The process becomes almost contemplative — a kind of low-stakes mindfulness exercise disguised as a puzzle. The lack of multiple scenes is certainly a limitation in terms of variety, but it also allows for a deeper familiarity with the single artwork, as players gradually reveal its secrets. The steady flow of small victories — each cat found with a satisfying click — gives the game a steady dopamine trickle that helps sustain engagement for the duration of the hunt. At the same time, its limited scope will inevitably be a drawback for some players. With only one illustration to explore, the replay value sharply declines once all 101 cats have been located. Those who enjoy hidden-object games for their evolving difficulty, variety of environments, or layered puzzle mechanics may find that this title feels more like a short interactive art piece than a traditional game. There is no story framing the experience, no escalation in complexity, and no alternative modes to encourage a return visit beyond the satisfaction of completion. The game’s strength is also its ceiling: it promises a simple, cozy challenge and delivers exactly that, no more and no less. However, what it lacks in depth, it compensates for with accessibility and charm. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy for players of all ages to participate. The game’s light system requirements and modest file size allow it to run comfortably on nearly any machine, including lower-end hardware. The achievement structure adds a light layer of reward for completionists, providing a sense of progression even within such a compact experience. Combined with its low price point, the game positions itself as an affordable bit of cozy entertainment — something to play in short sessions, to unwind with, or to enjoy as a pleasant distraction rather than a major time investment. In the end, 101 Cats Hidden in Greece is best understood as a small, standalone slice of visual comfort. It is a calm, relaxing, and cheerful hidden-cat hunt wrapped in a charming illustration of Greece, offering just enough engagement to satisfy players who enjoy casual, no-stress games. While its content is limited and its replayability short, it succeeds at delivering a wholesome, soothing activity that’s perfect for quiet moments. For players who appreciate simple pleasures — cute artwork, gentle pacing, and the satisfaction of finding hidden things — it provides exactly the sort of cozy, low-pressure experience they’re likely seeking. Rating: 7/10
Find 101 cats hidden in a mosaic of Greece. Decent. Wish there was a bundle, though.
