About
10 Seconds is a game that hinges on its innovative design . You are trapped in a failed time loop experiment, where you have 10 seconds to scramble for supplies and safety before a monster is released to hunt you down. Crawl through vents, scour walls, find tools and twist valves. Doing everything you can to escape being eaten alive. When you die, you wake up back at the start. Though you may notice that not everything has gone back to normal. Perhaps the experiment was not perfected before things went awry? This game is designed to be completed in one sitting, only taking about 30 minutes for a single run, so there is no save feature. Make use of the physics system that allows you to pick up and throw items. It may be more useful than you think!
A tense, clever premise dragged down by a punishing finale.
Picture this: you wake up in an air shaft and eventually make your way to the room below(voluntarily or by force). A clock starts ticking. Somewhere behind a door, something ancient and horrible is already counting down. You have exactly ten seconds of blissful ignorance before it's released, and whatever you do next, you'd better figure out fast, because dying sends you right back to the beginning. Every. Single. Time. That, in a nutshell, is 10 Seconds, a free horror time-loop puzzle game that absolutely nails its opening act and then, like a magician who forgets how to end the trick, fumbles the finale so badly it threatens to erase the good it had going. The core loop is genuinely compelling. The first time the monster is released and you hear it coming, your pulse will spike. That's not nothing. You play as an unnamed soul trapped in a loop of their own worst nightmare. Every death resets the environment, the creature retreats to its starting position, and your own character blinks back into existence. Crucially, however, any items you've dropped in the world stay exactly where you left them(progress is saved, for the most part). This is an intentional mechanic, and a clever one in theory: it rewards players who think ahead and plan their drops. In practice, it also means dropping a critical tool in a terrible spot can leave you stuck, staring at the screen, quietly renegotiating your relationship with the game. That flashlight you accidentally dropped into the corner of the back hallway? It'll be there and you will ponder restarting. The monster itself is less of an unpredictable predator and more of a very determined roomba following a pre-set route. Once you've clocked its patrol path, and you will, because trial and death is the entire tutorial here, avoiding it becomes a solved problem. The tension gradually shifts from "where is the monster?" to "what on earth am I supposed to do next?" The game offers no hints, no hand-holding, and no tutorials. Early on, this creates a wonderful sense of discovery. Later on, it starts to feel less like elegant design and more like the developer did not get to add everything they wanted. And then comes the finale. Oh, the finale. The game, up to this point, has been quite forgiving in a loop-based way: die, restart, keep your dropped items and unlocks as they were, try again. But the final sequence abandons this philosophy entirely and decides that if you die at any point, you restart the entire sequence from scratch. Not a checkpoint. Not a nearby respawn. The whole thing. This, combined with obtuse objectives and gunplay so flat it might as well be a PowerPoint slide, no recoil, no animation, no impact feedback whatsoever, makes the ending feel less like a climax and more like a cruel endurance test dressed up as a finale. The ending doesn't so much stick the landing as it trips, falls, and slides face-first into the finish line. Presentation-wise, 10 Seconds is competent but unremarkable. The graphics are functional without being memorable. The sound design covers the basics without inspiring dread. The story is threadbare, which is almost forgivable, since explaining it would essentially spoil the whole thing. There is no replay value to speak of: once you've seen the ending, there is precisely zero reason to come back unless you're showing a friend and want to watch them suffer. And yet, it's free. As a free game, 10 Seconds offers a genuinely interesting central mechanic, some legitimate tension in its best moments, and a playtime that doesn't overstay its welcome too dramatically. It's the kind of game that reminds you what indie horror can do with a simple idea and a ticking clock. It just needed someone to take a long, hard look at the last ten minutes before shipping. Recommended - with your expectations appropriately calibrated. OVERALL: 48/100 GAMEPLAY: 16/25 STORY: 5/15 CONTROLS: 14/15 GRAPHICS: 8/15 SOUND: 6/10 INTANGIBLES: 2/10 REPLAY: 1/5 CHALLENGE: 1/5

Probably one of the best short indie horror experiences. It took me a second to get what's going on around here and when it clicked in my head, i knew immediately what to do. It's very simple, yet intriguing. I love the atmosphere and especially the simple lore behind this game. Definitely a good recommendation for anyone who wants to try this!

10 seconds is REALLY short until you grab an item so you can go locker jumping. I didn't have fun locker jumping when every time I die I'll have to go through the rigmarole of the loop.
Easy game, don't over think it. Short and fun. I wasn't aware we were even in a loop until I read the negative reviews of the people who were thinking too hard. Ignore my time, I walked away and made food. I was also having fun with a glitch I found. lol
